60 Field Support Squadron carried out construction tasks in a military area in Hereford. A 3-storey farm building which had been gutted by fire was the first restoration: the top storey had to be removed, the first floor renewed whilst a waterproof timber and felt flat roof was constructued. A 2-storey 7m high block built flat was also constructed: the building was 25m x 12m in plan and contained 5 rooms whilst the flat roof was constructed of Bison slabs and was capable of taking a helicopter landing. A culvert of 40m was built. Finally a 50m gravel access road with a turn around area was builst in front of the new 2-storey building.
